Far Cry 6, developed and published by Ubisoft, is a first-person open-world shooter set on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, a nation inspired by Cuba. The island is under the oppressive rule of dictator Antón Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito), who is grooming his son Diego to follow in his footsteps.
Players step into the role of Dani Rojas, a guerrilla fighter who joins the revolution to liberate Yara. With a vast tropical landscape to explore—ranging from dense jungles and rural villages to vibrant urban centers—Far Cry 6 offers one of the most expansive and immersive environments in the series.
The game features classic Far Cry gameplay with a mix of stealth, gunplay, and exploration, but introduces new mechanics such as customizable “Resolver” weapons, powerful backpacks called Supremos, and animal companions like Chorizo the dog and Guapo the crocodile.
